There are ten different types of silicone rubber hose, the English abbreviations are: NR, IR, BR, SBR, NBR, IIR, EPDM, CR, SR, FKM. So how to identify these ten types of silicone rubber tubes? Silicone rubber hose manufacturers tell you a method: burning. The signs when they go out are as follows:

  1. NR: surface; light yellow translucent. Combustibility; easy. Flame characteristics; black smoke, dark yellow flame, softening. Residue odor; rubbery odor, residue non-sticky.
  2. IR: surface; light yellow translucent. Combustibility; easy. Flame characteristics; black smoke, dark yellow flame, softening. Residue odor; rubbery odor residue non-sticky.
  3. BR: surface; pale yellow translucent. Combustibility; easy. Flame characteristics; black smoke, dark yellow flame, softening. Residue odor; residue is non-sticky.
  4. SBR: surface; light yellow, or light brown red translucent. Extinction; easy. Flame characteristics; black smoke, dark yellow flame, softening. Residual odor; Styrene odor, slightly shrinkage, non-sticky
  5. NBR: surface; light yellow-light brown, translucent. Combustibility; easy. Flame characteristics; black smoke, dark yellow flame, softening. Residue odor; protein extinguishes odor, non-sticky.
  6. IIR: surface; colorless, transparent-translucent. Combustibility; easy. Flame characteristics; smokeless, beam-like flame. Residual smell; melting, sweet smelly smell.
  7. EPDM: surface; red, opaque. Combustibility; smokeless, beam-like flame, the flame is blue. Residue smell; paraffin smell.
  8. CR: surface; light yellow-light brown, opaque. Combustibility; Difficult. Flame characteristics; flame is green. Residue smell; shrinkage, hydrochloric acid smell.
  9. SR: surface; red. Translucent – Opaque. Flammability; moderately flammable; flame characteristics; white smoke, bright red flame. Residue smell; white ash, little odor.
  10. FKM: surface; red, opaque. Combustible; extremely difficult. Flame characteristics; self-extinguishing, the flame is green. Residue smell; soft, poisonous gas.
